2012 NEC Women's Volleyball Semifinals: #1 LIU Brooklyn 3, #4 Saint Francis 1
Tournament host and top-seed LIU Brooklyn rallied from a first-set loss to beat fourth seeded Saint Francis, 3-1, in Saturday's NEC semifinals. The Blackbirds, who won six straight NEC championships from 2004-09, will take on third-seeded Central Connecticut for the title on Sunday at 3:00 pm. NEC Player of the Year Annika Foit had 18 kills and 10 digs for LIU, while freshman Tamara Ignjic led the Blackbirds with 19 kills, 13 digs and a team-high four blocks.
