2012 NEC Women's Volleyball Championship: #1 LIU Brooklyn 3, #3 CCSU 1
Top-seeded LIU Brooklyn captured a seventh NEC women's volleyball championship, taking the crown on its home floor Sunday by defeating third-seeded Central Connecticut, 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-22). NEC Player of the Year and Tournament MVP Annika Foit finished with 20 kills, 13 digs and 5 blocks, while teammate Tamara Ignjic recorded 22 kills. The Blackbirds will now represent the NEC in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
